session description

911 Federal Funding Opportunity for ET3 Medical Triage Line

Increasingly state and federal policy makers and the public believe this is an important feature to offer as part of 911 services to local communities. This has led to several state and federal initiatives to fund this service through PSAPs. One of these funding opportunities is the CMS ET3 Program (Emergency Triage, Treat, and Transport) aimed at better health, lower cost, and increasing patient/community satisfaction.

We’ll talk to guest speakers from Confire JPA Communications Center, D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, and the City of Alexandria to learn how 911 can successfully divert non-urgent medical calls, discuss implementation and interoperability considerations and how RapidSOS help support PSAPs interested in this funding opportunity.
