[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Less than a month ago on Last Week Tonight, John Oliver articulated his frustrations with our nation’s dangerously outdated 9-1-1 infrastructure. Despite the challenges of this infrastructure, 9-1-1 telecommunicators do extraordinary work: saving lives in medical danger, identifying a domestic violence assault from a fake pizza delivery call, and even guiding a childbirth, all without the help of text message, picture, or video.

Today, I am excited to announce that we are partnering with Airbus DS Communications to maximize the impact and reach of our technology in emergency communications. Airbus VESTA is the market leader in 9-1-1, providing coverage to over 100,000 call takers and over 200 million Americans.

During the upcoming National Emergency Number Association (NENA) 2016 Conference in Indianapolis, we will jointly demonstrate how call takers at Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) can directly receive 9-1-1 data from smartphone devices with our integrated technology. This partnership moves beyond our existing ability to transmit device-location, type of emergency, medical & demographic data, and one-way texting into any legacy PSAP. The result is an unprecedented data flow into PSAPs: further enhanced location, seamless two-way texting, multimedia, and a variety of additional information at the fingertips of 9-1-1 telecommunicators in both NG911 and legacy PSAPs.

Please join us at the NENA Conference in Indianapolis on June 13-14 to witness this transformative data flow into PSAPs. The technology will be on display at RapidSOS’ Booth #335 and Airbus’ Booth #602, and will be showcased in the Airbus DS Communications Innovation Theater on Tuesday, June 14 at 2 p.m. ET in Booth #602.
