RapidSOS California Talent Community Privacy Statement
RapidSOS values your trust and is committed to the responsible management, use, and protection of personal information. This RapidSOS Talent Community Privacy Statement (“Statement”) describes our practices in connection with all the information that we collect through Workday in connection with your application for a job or internship with RapidSOS.
Personal information submitted elsewhere on RapidSOS’ website or Workday will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement herein.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may collect the following information from you in connection with your application: Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and other contact information;
- Username and password;
- Work authorization status;
- CV, résumé, cover letter, previous work experience and education information;
- Skills;
- Professional and other work-related licenses, permits and certifications held;
- Information relating to references;
- Information from social media sites if you choose to link your application to a social media and
- Any other information you elect to provide to us (e.g., employment preferences, willingness to relocate, current salary, desired salary, awards or professional memberships).
To the extent any personal information, job evaluation or educational record you provide contain information referenced in the preceding paragraph, you expressly authorize RapidSOS to handle such information by submitting your job application.
Any information you submit through Workday must be true, complete, and not misleading. Submitting inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information may lead to a rejection of your application during the application process or disciplinary action including immediate termination of employment. In addition, it is your responsibility to ensure that information you submit does not violate any third party’s rights.
If you provide us with personal information of a reference or any other individual as part of your application, it is your responsibility to obtain consent from that individual prior to providing the information to us. RapidSOS may obtain information about you from your references or from a background check report in connection with your application, as permitted by applicable law.
USE OF INFORMATION / LEGAL BASIS
We collect and process information about you for the following reasons:
- Because you voluntarily provide this information;
- Because this information is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into an employment or internship;
- Because this information is of particular importance to us and we pursue a specific legitimate interest to process it; or
- To comply with a legal obligation.
DATA RETENTION
We keep your personal information for as long as needed and permitted in light of the purpose(s) for which it was obtained. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include (i) the duration of any ongoing relationship with you; (ii) any legal obligation to which we may be subject; or (iii) on the advice of legal counsel (such as in regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation, or regulatory investigations).
If you do not wish to stay in Workday, please contact recruiting@rapidsos.com. We may remove personal information for inactive accounts from our database, subject to any applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
If you register on Workday, you may update your account information. To change personal information that you have already submitted when subscribing to Workday, please log in and update your information as you see fit. We encourage you to promptly update your personal information if it changes or is inaccurate. If you have questions or requests, please feel free to contact us at hr@rapidsos.com.
