Behind every call to 9-1-1 is a heroic telecommunicator who is there to help us when we need it most. Our mission at RapidSOS is to provide 9-1-1 dispatchers and call-takers with the best possible tools and information to help respond to emergencies. We’re honored to work with Apple and Google to provide fast, accurate mobile caller location to PSAPs. Now we want to help share how this milestone for the 9-1-1 location challenge is impacting day-to-day challenges within the PSAP.

Submit an NG911 Hero Story

NG911 heroes have made NG911 technology available in their PSAPs, providing fast, accurate location and additional rich data for telecommunicators. Any PSAP can get NG911 technology at no cost by signing up for RapidSOS Portal, a free web-based tool for accessing the RapidSOS Clearinghouse.

We want to hear your stories of how mobile caller location from iPhones and Androids has improved emergency response in your PSAP.

Whether it’s a life-saving response or just a better experience for a caller during a tough situation, we’d like to know about situations where caller location through the NG911 Clearinghouse has helped out. These anecdotes help us understand how mobile caller location can impact emergency response and allow us to share the work your agency has done to provide the best service possible to your constituents.

We encourage you to submit a story from your own experience or another telecommunicator in your PSAP. You can do so anonymously or include the name of your PSAP.

How does it work?

  1. We accept submissions via the form below.
  2. We will share PSAP stories on the RapidSOS blog, website, and across all major social media platforms.
  3. If you are interested, we can work with you to share your story with the media.

For any questions, please contact Michelle Cahn at mcahn@rapidsos.com.
