People can now create a free RapidSOS Ready Emergency Health Profile to share critical health and medical information with 911 and first responders in an emergency
New York, NY – June 10, 2020 ー RapidSOS today announced they are teaming up with the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, and Direct Relief to get first responders vital information in an emergency. This is possible through the launch of emergencyprofile.org, a free service that allows people to create an opt-in Emergency Health Profile that can be automatically shared with 911 and first responders in the event of an emergency.

The nation’s 911 infrastructure was built in the 1960s for landline phones, requiring individuals to verbally speak critical data to responders in an emergency. To address this challenge, RapidSOS’s emergency response data platform links real-time health and location information from connected devices, apps, and profiles with 911, providing context beyond what the caller in crisis is able to convey. This data helps 911 centers accelerate response and provides first responders with life-saving information.
