We developed the Haven app to ensure that first responders could quickly find you in an emergency. We are grateful for your support of Haven and are proud to have helped save lives with this technology.
Seeing the impact on those who used the app, we are excited to announce that we are now working with Apple and Google to provide 911 with your location when you dial 911 via your phone’s dialer (no app required). With the switch from an application company to a back-end data provider to 911, we will be turning off the Haven app on December 15, 2018.
Thank you for being an early supporter of our work at RapidSOS. If you would like to stay in the loop on new product announcements, please subscribe to our newsletter here.
Frequently asked questions:
Q. What will happen to my personal data?
A. Security is of the utmost importance to RapidSOS and as such, we will be deleting all personal data associated with your account. This includes any phone numbers, physical addresses, email addresses, payment information, and/or names associated with your account.Â
Q. In what areas does this work without an app?
A. We are in the process of integrating our technology at 911 centers nationwide and currently are in over 2,000 centers, covering over 180 million people (and counting). You can reach out to your local 911 center to see if they have RapidSOS enabled or let us know which county you live in and we can check for you. We are also working on products to deliver medical/other data to 911 – you can stay up to date by signing up for our newsletter: info.rapidsos.com/stay-in-the-know.
Q. How can I get access for my 911 center?Â
A. There are two ways for PSAPs to access life-saving data from the RapidSOS Clearinghouse – through existing PSAP software systems or through RapidSOS Portal. To make sure you don’t miss out on having access to data from iPhones and Android devices today, follow these two steps:Â
Step 1: Claim your PSAP’s RapidSOS portal account in minutes today.
Step 2:Â Set up a meeting with your RapidSOS public safety representative to determine the easiest path to an integration through your CPE, CAD, or mapping software.
