RapidSOS and RapidDeploy Partner to Provide Precise Location, Enhanced Data, to Public Safety Agencies using RapidDeploy’s Innovative CAD Software

New York, NY – June 2, 2017 RapidDeploy, a leader in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) technology, and RapidSOS, an advanced emergency technology company, today announced a partnership to provide public safety agencies that use the state of the art RapidDeploy CAD platform with accurate location and additional data from the RapidSOS NG9-1-1 Clearinghouse.

Millions of smartphones and other connected devices transmit precise device-based hybrid location and additional data to the RapidSOS NG9-1-1 Clearinghouse when a 9-1-1 call or other request for emergency is made. The RapidDeploy CAD platform automatically queries the RapidSOS Clearinghouse when a Wireless Call is received to retrieve supplementary location and additional data through NG9-1-1 delivery mechanisms.

RapidDeploy CAD takes advantage of several Microsoft Azure services including Microsoft Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Machine Learning and Microsoft Application Insights. The RapidDeploy mobile app is powered by Microsoft Azure Mobile Services.

“While RapidDeploy’s roots are in South Africa, we are thrilled to partner with RapidSOS to bring our technology to the United States” said Steven Raucher, Co-Founder of RapidDeploy. “Microsoft Azure allows RapidDeploy to deliver an affordable, reliable and scalable solution in direct contrast to traditional expensive client-server PSAP environments.

This partnership will give PSAPs using the RapidDeploy CAD platform lifesaving data to reduce response times and provide responders with improved situational awareness.

“Because RapidDeploy’s CAD platform is built on modern cloud architecture, it can fully integrate with the RapidSOS Clearinghouse right away,” said Michael Martin, CEO of RapidSOS. “This means that we can immediately provide PSAPs with not only precise location data, but also additional data to aid in response.”

In the near future, RapidSOS and RapidDeploy have plans to work together to expand the partnership globally, improving access to emergency services worldwide.
