  • TigoHealth announces a partnership with RapidSOS and is now recognized as RapidSOS Ready
  • Through this partnership, TigoHealth sends life-saving emergency data directly to 911 through the RapidSOS Platform in an emergency

Walnut Creek, CA – August 19, 2021 ー TigoHealth, a California based Medical Technology Company, today announced a partnership with RapidSOS to allow its users to digitally connect with 911 personnel in an emergency using TigoHealth’s products. Built in partnership with public safety, RapidSOS’s emergency response data platform securely links life-saving data from over 350 million connected devices directly to over 5,200 Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) in North America.

With this partnership, TigoHealth users can initiate an emergency request using the TigoHealth Navigator mobile app. The app can then trigger a 911 voice call to the user’s local ECC, while life-saving data gets delivered to the telecommunicator through the RapidSOS Platform. This data may include the user’s patient profile, emergency contact information, additional medical information, and the patient’s preferred language. This emergency intelligence data increases the amount of critical information first responders can obtain during a call and empowers faster and more effective emergency response.

Jay Elliot, CEO of TigoHealth states, “Our goal is to provide accurate mobile medical information in case of any medical or emergency situation. Our initial target markets are healthcare providers with a substantial low-income patient population. In using the RapidSOS services we are able to provide fast and needed information in the case of any emergency.”

According to Jessica Reed, VP of Strategy and Global Partners of RapidSOS, “We’re united in our commitment to empower safer, stronger communities with intelligent, data-driven emergency response worldwide. Together with TigoHealth and the rest of our RapidSOS Ready Emergency Community, we’re providing people with an added layer of safety and security and we’re supporting our heroic first responders in saving millions of lives annually.”

With the launch of this solution this Fall, TigoHealth will be recognized as RapidSOS Ready – allowing critical data to be sent directly to local 911 agencies in an emergency through the RapidSOS Platform. To learn more about the solution, visit: www.TigoHealth.com
