Top 10 Public Safety Conferences for 2021

Although 2020 may have been an off year for in-person events and conferences, 2021 is shaping up for a major comeback. We’re eagerly looking forward to the day we can see our friends and colleagues in public safety again, so we’ve put together a list of the top 10 public safety conferences for 2021. We hope to see you there soon!

1. NENA National – June 26th to July 1st 2021 / Columbus OH

NENA National is the premier conference in NENA’s yearly lineup. It features thought leadership and educational sessions from leading members of the 911 community, as well as an Expo Hall for technology innovators providing first responders with the tools they need to save lives.

2. APCO National – August 15th to 17th 2021 / San Antonio TX

APCO is the leading conference for public safety communications professionals, vendors, technology partners, and more. It’s an excellent opportunity for networking, education, and experiencing the latest innovations in emergency response.

3. BAPCO – October 12th to 13th 2021 / Coventry, UK

British APCO brings together thousands of public safety professionals from across Europe to meet, mingle, and discuss 999/111 standards, as well as the latest in public safety technologies. Best of all, it’s totally free.

4. EENA – April 1st to 3rd, 2021/ Riga, LV

EENA, like it’s North American counterpart, assembles over 1,000 European public safety professionals from across the industry, ranging from frontline responders to academic researchers, to share ideas, strategies, and technologies. 

5. IACP – September 11th to 14th, 2021 / New Orleans, LA

The International Association of Chiefs of Police conference aims to “shape the future of the policing professions,” through workshops, exhibits, and a global speaker series that offers international perspectives on pervasive issues in policing today.

6. IAFC Fire-Rescue International Conference – July 28th to 31st, 2021 / Charlotte, NC

Covering several different areas of emergency service, the Fire-Rescue International Conference offers learning opportunities for emergency responders for all aspects of public safety. From career development to ethical leadership, the conference is an excellent chance for leaders to galvanize their skills.

7. IAED NAVIGATOR – April 27th to 29th, 2021 / Las Vegas, NV

Hosted by the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch, the Navigator conference presents emergency dispatchers with a variety of learning opportunities, from fire and EMS to police and hospital triage. The event features workshops, instructional courses, and certification courses as well.

8. IWCE – September 27th – 30th, 2021 / Las Vegas, NV

IWCE is the leading event for communications technologies. With keynotes and breakout groups covering topics ranging from 5G advanced communications to critical infrastructure. 

9. Denise Amber Lee Virtual Conference – February 9th to 11th, 2021 / Virtual

The Denise Amber Lee foundation’s Be the Difference conference hosts continuing education sessions for 911 telecommunicators and anyone interested in the public safety mission. The event is focused around the idea that 911 first responders have the ability to be the difference in someone’s life, and how they can make the best choices possible.

10. RapidSOS User Group – TBA

RapidSOS will be hosting another User Group for all RapidSOS Ready PSAPs, partners, and first responders. This group celebrates the heroic sacrifices of our heroes behind the headsets, offering a variety of thought leadership and training sessions throughout the day.
