Public safety conferences make it possible for leaders from the frontlines, telecommunicators, and technology innovators to come together and share ideas, tools, and knowledge to improve the life-saving capabilities of emergency services around the world.
This year, many conferences that went virtual in 2021 are returning to live events, while a few remain virtual for safety reasons. Here are the don’t miss events for 2022:
1. Denise Amber Lee Be the Difference Virtual Conference – January 31st to February 2nd, 2022 / Virtual

3. International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) – March 21st to 24th, 2022 / Las Vegas, NV
A leading event for communications technologies, IWCE delivers a rich experience with cutting-edge tech on the keynote stage, more than 300 exhibitors, networking opportunities, and in-depth workshops and ETA training across critical infrastructure sectors.
4. EENA Conference – April 27th to 29th, 2022 / Marseille, France
Much like its well-known North American counterpart, EENA brings together well over a thousand public safety professionals from across Europe, allowing academic researchers, frontline responders, and technology innovators to strategize and share new ideas.
5. IAED NAVIGATOR Conference – April 27th to 29th, 2022 / Nashville, TN
The Navigator Conference, hosted by the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch, provides emergency dispatchers with the opportunity to learn through a broad offering of instructional courses, workshops, and certification courses covering fire, police, EMS and hospital triage.
6. NENA Annual Conference & Expo – June 11th to 16th, 2022 / Louisville, KY
The premier conference in NENA’s yearly lineup, NENA National provides the 911 community with educational sessions and thought leadership from experts and technology innovators in the industry, including an Expo Hall where tools to help first responders save lives can be showcased and discussed.
7. APCO International Annual Conference & Expo – August 7th to 10th, 2022 / Anaheim, CA
The leading conference for public safety communications, APCO provides networking and educational opportunities for emergency response professionals, vendors, and technology partners seeking to discover and share the latest innovations in the industry.
8. IAFC Fire-Rescue International Conference – August 24th to 26th / San Antonio, TX
IAFC’s FRI Conference allows thousands of the most prominent fire and emergency service leaders from across North America and around the globe to interact with hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the newest fire service innovations in apparatus, technology, equipment, and gear.
9. IACP Annual Conference & Exposition – October 15th to 18th, 2022 / Dallas, TX
The International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference and Exposition hosts more than 16,000 public safety professionals to “learn new techniques, advance their knowledge and careers, and equip their department for ongoing success.”
10. READY 22 – Fall 2022
