RapidSOS Helicopter Ride Sweepstakes – Official Rules (the “Sweepstakes”)
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. All federal, state (including California), and local laws and regulations apply.
Sponsor: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by RapidSOS, Inc. (“Sponsor”), having its principal place of business at 3 Park Avenue, 22nd Floor, New York, NY 10016. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any other entity.
Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry, are legal residents of the United States, 18 years of age or older, and registered attendees of the NENA 2025 Conference in Long Beach, California. Proof of age, identity, U.S. residency, and NENA 2025 registration will be required for winners (e.g. valid government-issued photo ID and conference badge). Employees of Sponsor, Maverick Helicopters, Global Medical Response (“GMR”), and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate family/household members of such employees are NOT eligible to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Sweepstakes Entry Period: The entry period begins on June 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) and ends on June 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM PT. Entries received before or after this Entry Period will not be accepted. Sponsor’s clock (Pacific Time) is the official timekeeper for this Sweepstakes.
How to Enter: To enter, eligible participants must complete the official entry form available via QR code at the RapidSOS booth (product demo area) at NENA 2025 or via the provided alternate URL (https://rapidsos.com/helicopter-ride-sweepstakes/) during the Entry Period. The entry form will require providing basic contact information (such as name, mobile phone number for text notification, and any other fields as specified). No purchase, payment, or product demo participation is required to enter or win, and engaging with the product demo is optional and will not improve chances of winning. Limit one (1) entry per person for the entire Sweepstakes. Multiple entries by the same individual (including via multiple email addresses or devices) are not allowed and will be disqualified. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Incomplete or illegible entries, or entries not in compliance with these Official Rules, are void. Standard data charges may apply if entering via mobile device (check with your carrier; Sponsor is not responsible for any such fees). Alternate Method of Entry: In addition to the QR code method, participants may enter by accessing the entry form directly at the provided URL (which will be publicly displayed at the event and on promotional materials) without needing to scan a code, ensuring free entry with no purchase or attendance fee as required by law. No other method of entry is permitted.
Prize Description: Six (6) winners will be randomly selected. Each winner will receive one (1) helicopter ride experience in the Long Beach/Los Angeles area, operated by Maverick Helicopters (the “Prize”). The approximate retail value (ARV) of each Prize is $500 (total ARV of all prizes: $3,000). The helicopter ride includes the flight only; any transportation to/from the helicopter departure site or any incidental expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Prize is non-transferable and no cash substitution or alternate prize will be offered. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason. Each winner is solely responsible for any and all taxes (federal, state, local) associated with acceptance of the Prize. If required by law, an IRS 1099 form (for U.S. winners) may be issued for the value of the prize.
Winner Selection: Six (6) potential winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received, to be held on or about June 24, 2025, shortly after 10:00 AM PT (immediately following the close of the Entry Period). The random drawing will be conducted by Sponsor or its designee, and each entry has an equal chance of winning. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. No entrant is allowed to have any advantage in the drawing based on any purchase or action; entries obtained without any purchase will have the same chance to win as any other entry.
Winner Notification: Sponsor (or its representative) will notify the potential winners by text message to the phone number provided at entry. Notification is expected to occur by June 24, 2025 at or around 12:00 PM (noon) PT (approximately two hours after the drawing). The notification text will include instructions on how to verify eligibility and claim the prize. Response Required: Each potential winner must respond within two (2) hours of the time the notification text is sent, either by replying as directed or by contacting the Sponsor as instructed, to confirm acceptance of the Prize. It is the entrant’s responsibility to monitor their texts (and/or provided contact method) around that time. If a potential winner does not respond within the 2-hour window, cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to timely comply with any verification procedures (or if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable), that person may be disqualified and will forfeit the Prize . In the event of disqualification, an alternate winner may be selected, as described below. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the winner notification and confirmation deadlines if necessary to assure fairness and a timely award of prizes.
Alternate Winners: If any of the initially selected potential winners is disqualified or fails to respond/claim the prize in the required timeframe, Sponsor may select an alternate winner by conducting an additional random drawing from the remaining eligible entries, in order of priority as needed until all six prizes are awarded. Any alternate winner will be notified and required to respond/confirm as described above, but with a shortened response window if time is of the essence (for example, an alternate may be asked to respond within 1-2 hours of notification). This process will continue until up to six qualified winners have claimed the Prize. If by June 24, 2025 at the end of day all prizes have not been claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to not award unclaimed prizes or to delay prize fulfillment at its discretion.
Winner Verification & Prize Claim: Verification of eligibility (including age, residency, and NENA 2025 attendance) and compliance with these Official Rules is required before any Prize is awarded. Each potential winner will be required to show a valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) to a Sponsor representative to verify age (18+) and identity, and may need to show proof of U.S. residency (e.g., U.S. ID or documentation) if not evident from the ID. Winners must also present proof of NENA 2025 conference attendee status (e.g., a conference badge or registration confirmation) to confirm eligibility. At the time of prize claim, each winner (or, if applicable, winner’s guest or guardian if any – though in this Sweepstakes each prize is for one individual) will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability form (see Section 11) and possibly an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release, as provided by Sponsor, to formally accept the Prize. These documents will include confirmation of compliance with rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, and a liability release/publicity consent (except where prohibited by law). Failure to sign the required documents or to meet the eligibility requirements will result in forfeiture of the Prize and selection of an alternate winner as described above. Once verified, winners will be provided with details for scheduling or participating in the helicopter ride prize. It is anticipated that the helicopter rides will be scheduled during the NENA 2025 conference dates; Sponsor will coordinate specifics with winners.
General Conditions: By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, or to be acting in violation of the rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. If for any reason the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) is not capable of running as planned (e.g., due to fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control that corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of this promotion), Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes and, if feasible, to select the winners in a fair and equitable manner from eligible entries received prior to such event. Void where prohibited or restricted by law: If any aspect of this Sweepstakes is void or prohibited in any jurisdiction (e.g. a state or locality), persons in those jurisdictions are ineligible to participate or win prizes. No purchase necessary: This promotion requires no purchase or fee to enter (any entries not accompanied by a purchase are given the same chance of winning as those that might accompany a purchase or demo, if any ). Disclaimer of Responsibility: Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for entries that are late, lost, misdirected, garbled, or incomplete, or for any technical malfunctions, interruptions, or failures that impede entry or communication.
Release of Liability: By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees that Sponsor, Maverick Helicopters, GMR, and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) shall not be liable for, and are released and held harmless from, any and all losses, injuries, claims, damages, or liabilities of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of any Prize (including any travel or activities related thereto). The Released Parties are not responsible for any personal injury, death, property damage, or other harm or accident which may occur in the course of winner’s participation in the Prize. Winners will be required to sign a separate Liability Waiver (see below) as a condition of receiving the helicopter ride prize, acknowledging and assuming the inherent risks of helicopter travel and releasing the Released Parties from liability to the fullest extent permitted by law. Entrants further agree that the Released Parties have not made any warranty or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any prize, including but not limited to its safety, condition, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Publicity: Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a Prize each winner consents to the use of his or her name, likeness, biographical information (such as city/state of residence), and any statements or photographs of the winner for advertising and promotional purposes in any media, worldwide and in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice. Entry into the Sweepstakes constitutes permission for Sponsor and its designees to use entrants’ name and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation, notice or consent if you are a winner, to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with Laws: This Sweepstakes is intended to comply with all applicable U.S. laws. In particular, it is conducted as a lawful promotional sweepstakes (game of chance) and NOT as a lottery or gambling operation, because there is no required purchase or costly action to enter (no consideration). The Official Rules are designed to include all necessary disclosures (eligibility, dates, prize details, etc.) required under U.S. and California law. If any provision of these Official Rules is deemed unenforceable or contrary to law, that provision shall be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remainder of the rules will remain in effect.
Governing Law: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of participants or Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles (given that the promotion is being conducted in California and is intended to comply with California law). By entering, participants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state, and local courts located in California for the resolution of any disputes.
Winner List: For a list of winners (available after June 30, 2025) or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: RapidSOS Helicopter Sweepstakes – Winners List/Rules Request, c/o RapidSOS, Inc., 3 Park Avenue, 22nd Floor, New York, NY 10016. Requests must be received by August 1, 2025. (VT residents may omit return postage for rules requests.) The Official Rules will also be available at the RapidSOS booth during the entry period and online via the same entry URL.
These Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between entrants and Sponsor with respect to the Sweepstakes. By entering, you indicate your full and unconditional agreement to these Rules and the decisions of Sponsor.
