I received a 911 call where the ANI/ALI provided an address. The caller was only able to say “hello”, but was otherwise unresponsive. Upon checking RapidSOS, the location of the call was clearly identified at a different address, approximately 2.9 miles away from the initial ANI/ALI address. RapidSOS also displayed the location breadcrumbs of the caller in the backyard of the address. Without the information RapidSOS provided, the Sheriff’s Department would not have had accurate location information from ANI/ALI and may not have checked the backyard to find the caller in distress.

A 911 communicator was having a difficult time communicating with the 911 caller. Upon looking at the enhanced emergency data in RapidSOS, she found that the caller was non verbal autistic and may run from responders. The 911 dispatcher was able to change her approach and effectively help the 911 caller without losing more valuable time.

We received a 911 call from a woman experiencing a stroke. While our conventional systems identified the call’s general vicinity, our dispatcher utilized RapidSOS to guide units precisely to the apartment where the caller struggled to communicate. Due to the precise location provided by RapidSOS, responders swiftly transported her to the hospital during the critical window for stroke treatment.
