Emergency Communication Center Data Sharing Script (ECC Admin)

Use this script to obtain verbal consent prior to an event from recipients to receive a share link through SMS in the event of an emergency.

ECC Admin:
We are participating in the RapidSOS Field Responder SMS Service, which will provide you with a link to critical incident information at the time of certain high priority incidents via text message. In order to receive these messages, we require your verbal consent. Do you [STATE RECIPIENT’S NAME] give us consent to send messages to [READ OUT PHONE NUMBER]?

Field officer:
Yes I am giving you consent to sign me up for the messages.

Telecommunicator:
Thank you. You will receive a message confirming your participation in the program, but otherwise, messages will only be sent from RapidSOS for a critical event. Message frequency may vary. Please note that message and data rates may apply.
