RapidSOS, the intelligent safety company, today announced a strategic partnership with INdigital to combat the technology overload and information silos that challenge modern ECCs.
This partnership embeds INdigital’s robust SMS infrastructure directly into the RapidSOS UNITE platform, launching Text to 911 (TT911) in UNITE, powered by INdigital—a native solution that provides a single, unified interface for both voice and text-based emergency communications.
ECCs nationwide are facing a crisis of staff burnout and turnover, accelerated by the need to manage multiple screens and manually piece together information from disparate systems. This fragmented approach also creates critical accessibility gaps for individuals who cannot safely make a voice call.
This new capability is a powerful extension of the RapidSOS UNITE Communicator Module. By delivering a unified call-processing experience for every call, the module is designed to help agencies overcome communication barriers, accelerate documentation with AI, and enhance accessibility. Integrating text messaging into this single-screen workflow ensures every call for help is managed with greater speed and accuracy, empowering telecommunicators to focus on their mission with confidence.
said Michael Martin, CEO of RapidSOS. “By integrating seamless Text-to-911 directly into the RapidSOS UNITE platform, we are not just adding a feature; we are building a more accessible and equitable emergency response ecosystem. We’re empowering our telecommunicators with a unified tool to manage every call for help, whether it’s spoken or texted, ensuring that no one is left unheard in their moment of need.”
“At INdigital, we lead the way in Next Generation 911 interoperability and reliability. One of the ways we deliver on that commitment is through our text control API, which enables the seamless delivery of text messages across multiple platforms,” said Lynne Houserman, CEO of INdigital.
This partnership furthers our mission to provide service to any device, on any platform, at any time—advancing the future of NG911.”
Further streamlining ECC operations, RapidSOS is also launching Text-to-Admin Lines. This feature allows ECCs to manage non-emergency communications via text on designated administrative phone lines. This separates non-emergency inquiries from the 911 workflow, reducing the strain on critical resources and allowing staff to handle community outreach and administrative tasks with greater efficiency.
TT911 in UNITE, powered by INdigital, is launching this month. Public safety agencies interested in enabling this new capability should contact their RapidSOS representative for more information.
“The evolution of 911 is centered on meeting the public where they are, and that means embracing all forms of communication,” said Jamison Peevyhouse, Vice President of Public Safety at RapidSOS.
