Motorcyclist saved after collision

After getting into a collision with another vehicle, a motorcyclist’s smartphone detected the crash and called 911 and his emergency contacts. The 911 telecommunicator that received the call used RapidSOS to confirm the incident location and quickly dispatch field responders. After arriving on-scene, field responders used the crash notification data to identify the motorcyclist, who was unable to communicate after sustaining multiple injuries. The rider’s injuries could have turned deadly if not for the quick response of first responders who got the call seconds after the crash.
