We are excited to share that RapidSOS has raised $100 million – bringing total investment to $450 million – as RapidSOS continues its deep partnership with public safety, developing the first purpose-built AI platform for emergency response.
This comes as RapidSOS surpasses one billion emergencies supported—powered by over 600 million connected devices and sensors and openly integrated with every major public safety software system (5,800+ integrations.)
None of this would have been possible without the 10 year+ partnership between RapidSOS and thousands of public safety agencies who have guided and shaped this journey. Together we are building the first purpose-built emergency response AI platform—backed by $450 million and over a billion learnings from public safety’s life-saving work.
In partnership with public safety, we’ve worked together to build the world’s largest open safety network of devices, enterprises, and public safety agencies, connecting critical data directly to where it’s needed most. This network fuels RapidSOS HARMONY, the first purpose-built AI for public safety, which turns that data into mission-critical intelligence.
HARMONY is the AI co-pilot for mission critical teams:
This powerful, connected network engages the full community in partnership with public safety on one unified, interoperable platform for emergency response:
“We’ve had the extraordinary privilege of learning from the heroic work of first responders across over one billion emergencies,” said Michael Martin, Founder and CEO of RapidSOS. “This funding further accelerates our work to support first responders. We’re accelerating R&D efforts into our AI with the aim to prevent one million emergencies by 2030.”
This commitment to prevention is already yielding results. In rural Michigan, a heroic team of first responders utilized RapidSOS-enabled crash detection, dispatching aid just 13 seconds after the crash was detected—a response that pulled the survivor from his vehicle seconds before it was engulfed in flames. This is the power of connected, mission-critical data built in partnership with public safety.
“It’s clear that the foundational data layer, operationalized through the RapidSOS’s AI, plays a critical role in powering emergency management in agencies across a dozen countries, covering nearly 700 million people,” said Patrick Kane, Partner at Apax Digital. “We are excited to support the team as they continue delivering and advancing essential capabilities for public safety stakeholders worldwide.”
With this investment, we will accelerate our work in several critical areas:
The future of public safety is intelligent, unified, and collaborative. We are profoundly grateful for the dedication of our first responder partners as we embark on this next chapter to build a safer, more connected world.
